Our Mission

Sharing the Word of God

In the Bible, God has told us what our mission should be: To bring him glory by prayerfully proclaiming Jesus Christ to people (Colossians 4:2-4).

These are our marching orders from our Captain. We will seek God’s glory by relying on him in prayer. We will express our trust in the gospel by boldly and unapologetically preaching, from the Bible, the clear message about Jesus – the only saviour. And we will love people by bringing them the message of the death of Jesus, and the freedom that brings.

Matthew 28:18-20:

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” ESV

We believe in heaven and hell. This world is not all there is. Before long we will all be ushered into eternity. Nothing is more important than being prepared for that. Jesus’ death on the cross is what qualifies us for heaven. Specifically, we are praying that God will bring 10% of Umhlanga to Christ, growing them to maturity, and establishing them as active partners at CCU.
